Description
The Danube river in central and eastern Europe is Europe's second longest river (after the Volga), flowing from the Black Forest in Germany to the Black Sea. It flows through five national capitals. Esztergom, Hungary, was the capital of Hungary from the tenth to the thirteenth century, and is the seat of the Roman Catholic Church in Hungary. The far bank of the Danube is Slovakia.
